# Overview

Getting started with Grain happens in two phases:

1. **Test in Sandbox.** Set up a light configuration and book your first hedge to see the full flow end to end.
2. **Go live.** Complete your full configuration with your Grain contact, who then activates your Live environment.

The steps below walk through the Sandbox phase.
